Building the next generation of manufacturing talent
Workforce development is a priority for Athena’s owners and leadership team. We’ve expanded partnerships with local high schools to create clear pathways into manufacturing careers. Our long-standing collaboration with Elgin High School has now grown to include partnerships with two other districts:
Plugerville High School, through welding and fabrication internships
Round Rock High School, with a machining apprenticeship program supported by the Department of Labor
These initiatives create entry points into both fabrication and machining fields and provide us with a steady, passionate workforce prepared to support our customers as demand grows.
Growing and strengthening our current workforce
Our culture at Athena Manufacturing is rooted in opportunity. Of our 13 leadership roles, 11 were filled from within; this is a direct reflection of how we invest in our people, building their careers within our organization.
In addition to developing our team, we’re growing exponentially to better serve our customers. Recent staffing increases of nearly 20% between the end of Q4 2025 and the beginning of Q1 2026 ensure we’re prepared to scale as needed for our customer base.
