Semiconductor Manufacturing Is on the Rise
The rapid growth of artificial intelligence has increased demand for semiconductor chips. At the same time, there has been a strong push to reshore semiconductor manufacturing to suppliers in the United States.
As a manufacturing partner supporting this industry, Athena is prepared to meet that growing demand.
Aerospace and Defense Continue to Expand
Increased defense spending has created new opportunities throughout the manufacturing supply chain. Meanwhile, commercial aerospace remains strong as airlines expand fleets to meet increasing travel demand.

Perhaps the driving factor of our company’s growth is the trust we’ve built with our customers.

Capacity Expansion Supports Our Customers
Broadening Our Integration Capabilities
One of our fastest-growing areas is integrated assemblies, which represented roughly 15-20% of our production volume in 2025 and has grown since. As customers look to consolidate suppliers and simplify their supply chains, our team has expanded our ability to provide more comprehensive manufacturing solutions under one roof.
Investing in Advanced Manufacturing Equipment
Our equipment investments are continuing as well. For instance, we recently added another DMG 5-axis machining center, equipped with a 24,000 RPM spindle capable of producing highly complex components with impressive speed and accuracy.

Building People Up Leads to Meaningful Growth
Workforce remains one of Athena’s largest areas of investment. During the first part of 2026, Athena filled approximately 60 new positions to support growing customer demand. Even more encouraging, we accomplished this at the same time we were able to reduce scrap and problem parts by approximately 50%!
Growing quickly often introduces risk, but we’ve remained focused on leveraging our growth to strengthen our operation rather than stretch it.
Developing the Next Generation of Talent
Athena remains committed to helping create the next generation of skilled manufacturers. In addition to our established partnerships with Elgin ISD and Pflugerville ISD, we’re expanding into several new educational partnerships.
This year, we’re launching a new collaboration with San Juan Diego Catholic High School and expanding our relationship with Round Rock ISD. We’re excited to continue growing our reach with local school districts and helping students discover meaningful careers in the manufacturing sector!
Investing in Our Existing Team
To further support the growth of our people, we’ve recently welcomed a dedicated training specialist to our team. With more than 20 years of corporate training experience and fluency in both English and Spanish, Daniel will expand our company’s internal development programs. Future initiatives include:
Technical skills training: Continuous development empowers our production employees to grow alongside new technologies and customer requirements.
Leadership development: Developing future leaders creates opportunities for employees to grow within our organization.
English language education: We’re also exploring English language classes that can help employees improve communication skills both in and out of the workplace.
Facility Upgrades Are Key to Growth
Athena is adding 5,000 square feet between our welding and integration buildings to expand available storage space, improve material flow between departments, and increase our welding capacity by approximately 40%.
Expansions and upgrades like this position our business to scale efficiently to meet customers’ growing demand.
